A Week Lost

Okay so it’s eight days since my last post and any serious listening to music, only two excuses – dental problems that got worse coupled with a serious party night in London last Friday.

Teeth are now much better, only one treatment to go in a couple of weeks, and work is looking interesting after a bit of social networking whilst partying – Good times.

Difficult day tomorrow with a meeting in town for work but after that it should be plain sailing for the weekend.

So I’ve finally got to play Side Two (if I can get home early tomorrow I may even be able to get through sides three and four before the weekend starts in earnest)  –

One Sided……….

It’s been a difficult week and it’s only Wednesday………….

Having to play office politics coupled with visits to the dentist mean that my time on the PC or listening to music has been seriously curtailed. I managed to grab 20 minutes earlier this evening however to listen to the first side of “Out Of The Blue”.

Bought in 1978, when there was a special edition issued on blue vinyl, this album has remained with me ever since – 36 years and counting….scary –

From My Original Collection

My music collection has been through many incarnations and only a few records have survived the complete run of years.

Sat  down this afternoon and listened to one of them with my brother-in-law. Bought from a school friend’s older brother for 25p in 1976, it’s been played on a regular basis ever since –

Ironing

About two months ago we turned one of our bedrooms into a ‘chill out’ room complete with sofa, armchair, hi-fi and bookcases. One of the most surprising outcomes is that I now actually enjoy ironing………I set the board up put on a CD and away I go. Kraftwerk Autobahn
